Humberto E. Ramirez, MS, Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in School Athletics

Humberto E. Ramirez, coordinates sports programs and league competitions for the PR High School Athletic Alliance

    SAN JUAN, PR, September 24, 2010 /High School PR News/ -- Humberto E. Ramirez, President of the Puerto Rico High School Athletic Alliance, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in school athletics.

A 35-year veteran of the education field, Humberto E. Ramirez is best noted for his expertise in high school administration and curriculum development. He has devoted the last two decades to the Puerto Rico High School Athletic Alliance, where he is charged primarily with coordinating school sports programs and league competitions. Mr. Ramirez brings to his work the experience that he acquired as dean of students for St. Ignacio High School. Over the course of 19 years in this position, he supervised 760 students from grades 7 to 12 and a staff of 72 teachers, as well as developed curricula and coached basketball. An accomplished youth basketball coach, Mr. Ramirez has loved the sport all his life and considers being declared Basketball Coach of the Year to be among the highlights of his career. He attributes his success to his sincerity and willingness to take responsibility.

Mr. Ramirez received his master's degree in school administration in 2005 from Universidad Metropolitana, his master's degree in marketing in 1999 from Southwest University, and his bachelor of arts in accounting in 1978 from Sacred Heart University. His professional affiliations include the High School Basketball Association and the National High School Association. An active member of his community, Mr. Ramirez volunteers his time coaching local youth teams and organizing outreach programs. He looks forward to serving as a mentor to students and teachers alike, and to continuing to serve as a good example to young people.
