Dr. Eileen K. Austin Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Dr. Eileen K. Austin celebrates four years as a geriatric care manager for the University of Florida
CLEARWATER, FL, November 03, 2010 /High School PR News/ -- Eileen K. Austin, RN, HCRM, CGCM, Ed.D., Owner of EKA, a regional health care company, and Geriatric Care Manager & Healthcare Risk Management Program Director at the University of Florida, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in geriatric care and health care risk management.
Dr. Austin currently serves as Program Director for University of Florida online programs in Geriatric Care Management. She previously worked as a nurse in Wisconsin, Kentucky and Florida, as well as an independent legal consultant, health care risk manager, geriatric care manager and consultant. Dr. Austin received a Doctorate in Education and Nursing, and a Master of Education from the University of Florida in 1976 and 1971 respectively. She is a geriatric care management consultant, a Certified Geriatric Care Manager and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She is a 1968 graduate of Spalding University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Dr. Austin is a member of the Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety, the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, the Florida Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers, and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management.
