NEW YORK, NY, November 23, 2010 /High School PR News/ -- Charlotte K. Frank, Senior Vice President of Research and Development for Education at The McGraw-Hill Companies, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in innovative teaching solutions.
Dr. Frank has 45 years of professional experience, including 20 years of experience in her current position as senior vice president of research and development of McGraw-Hill Companies. Previously she worked in the New York City Department of Education and spent the last nine years as the executive director of the Division of Curriculum and Instruction for the entire New York City school system. Interpersonal communication, creativity and aiding young people in becoming effective learners are her specialities. She is responsible for collaborating with school administrators, and leading discussions on modifying teaching methods and incorporating technology into classrooms. Her role also entails that she review research in order to create prospective strategies that will correlate financial services and media into educational activities.
In 2000, Dr. Frank received a Ph.D. in educational administration from New York University. She also received a Master of Education from Hunter College. Dr. Frank is a member of ASCD and the American Association of School Administrators. In her spare time, she lends her services to the People to People Ambassador Programs and the America-Israel Friendship League. Dr. Frank's goal is to witness the closure of the educational achievement gap and see more students graduate from both high school and college.
