Joan Loewer to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

Joan Loewer celebrates over 30 years in the field of education

    BROCTON, NY, October 14, 2010 /High School PR News/ -- Joan Loewer, Home School Coordinator for Brocton Central School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 31 years of professional experience, Mrs. Loewer served as a Home School Coordinator for the Brocton Central School District. Utilizing her expertise in special education, she assisted children with special needs ages 3 through 21, chaired preschool and school age meetings, the Junior Achievement Program, the After School Program, and Coordinated the Attendance Court team for the District. Mrs. Loewer describes herself as a multifaceted professional, with over 31 years of experience with the school district. Initially she primarily worked with students and families of special needs. However, in the last five years she was asked to expand her expertise into general education. She also served as a member of the Student Support Team and Crisis Team. The last six months at Brocton Central School District, she substituted as the high school secretary.

Mrs. Loewer received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Fredonia State University. She previously was a services caseworker for the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services and an interviewer for the Office for the Aging. Mrs. Loewer attributes her success and longevity at Brocton to family support, strong professional friendship and wonderful children and families in the district.
