Yiren Hou Gallagher Showcases Professional Brand through Cambridge Who's Who
Gallagher uses her training as an educator to help her students express themselves artistically
TULSA, OK, October 2, 2009 /High School PR News/ -- Yiren Hou Gallagher, Teacher for Jenks High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in visual arts.
Yiren Hou Gallagher has nine years of experience as a teacher for Jenks High School. Her primary responsibility is teaching 10th through 12th-grade students. She became involved in her profession after being trained as a teacher in Taiwan, which she feels is the reason for her success.
Ms. Gallagher has received the Professional Grant and the Creative Arts Project Grant from the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition in 2008 and 2007, respectively. She is also an alumnus of the Teacher Institute of Contemporary Art since 2009.
Ms. Gallagher received her Master of Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute in 1987 and her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from the National Taiwan Normal University in 1979. She received honorable mention at the Biennial Exhibition, hosted by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition in 2007, and was named Best in Show at the Tulsa Mayfest Invitational Gallery in 2003.
