Fusion Academy Announces Regional Expansion into Los Angeles

West Los Angeles One-to-One School to Open Doors in March 2010

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 03, 2009 /High School PR News/ -- Fusion Academy and Learning Center, a San Diego-based alternative school that provides customized one-to-one academic and life skills programs, announced its expansion into West Los Angeles at its twentieth anniversary event on September 24, 2009. Opening in March of 2010, Fusion Academy will serve Los Angeles students in grades six through twelve, who need a flexible middle and high school education structure.

"At Fusion Academy, we're masters at working with students who simply do not fit the mold of traditional schools," said Fusion Founder Michelle Rose Gilman. "Individualism is not only accepted in our world, it is embraced and celebrated. Because no two students are alike, not all excel in a system that expects them to learn alike. Whether a student is pursuing a career in the arts, training to be a professional athlete, or simply needs a personalized education, one-to-one works and we are thrilled to share this alternative with Los Angeles families."

Grace Colman Losada, a former teacher at Fusion San Diego, has been named Head of School at Fusion's Los Angeles location. Prior to opening its doors in March, there will be two community meetings on October 26, followed by several parent meetings to create awareness of Fusion Academy and Learning Center Los Angeles, its academic and arts programs, therapeutic services, potential school site locations in the Los Angeles area and projected tuition costs. For more information about the October 26 meetings, please call 866-702-1953.
