William Aulet Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Now a retired Regents teacher, William Aulet draws upon 37 years of experience
WEST NYACK, NY, June 9, 2009 /High School PR News/ -- William Aulet, a retired Regents teacher now working at the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Rockland County, NY as a Teaching Assistant, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of teaching.
With 37 years of experience, Mr. Aulet specializes in teaching mathematics, science and social studies (US History, Economics, Global Studies and Civics). He is currently responsible for overseeing intake reviews and assisting teachers and students in preparing for high school equivalency exams. Mr. Aulet's desire to mentor at-risk children comes from his own experience as a child which led him to this profession. He considers seeing the success of his students to be the most gratifying aspect of his career and he attributes his success to hard work and his ability to form educational relationships with striving students.
Mr. Aulet received his Master's Degree in Special Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College. He participated in workshops involving Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) and many staff development trainings centered around classroom behavior management techniques. In addition, Mr. Aulet taught at New York University as an adjunct professor in its Adult Education Program for two years while he also substituted at various tri-state colleges. He is a member of the New York State United Teacher's Union as well as The Police Benevolent Association of the New York State Troopers. He is a supporter of the American Cancer Society.
