Victor Silva Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
He is a Certified Trainer of Teachers for the Thinking Maps Program.
LOS ANGELES, CA, October 9, 2008 /High School PR News/ -- Victor Silva, English as Second Language Coordinator and English Teacher at University High School of Los Angeles Unified School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of teaching.
As an English as a Second Language Coordinator and English Teacher Mr. Silva excels in teaching struggling students with a multicultural, life span approach and organizing hands-on activities, public speaking, developing students personality and conversation skills. Mr. Silva coordinates the Dream Team, which helps teachers with ESL students, the Beyond the Bell after-school program, and the Summer Transition Program. He has been the School Site Council chairperson since 2002, and has been a member of almost every school committee, including State and Federal mandated ones. He is also a Certified Trainer of Teachers for the Thinking Maps Program.
Mr. Silva earned his Master's Degree in Cross Cultural Education from The National University of San Diego in 2007 and his Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and English from California State University in 1997. He is affiliated with The National Education Association and The United Teachers, Los Angeles.
