The Freedom Formula: How Can a High School Class in Canada Make a Difference Across the World in Africa?

Socially conscious high school entrepreneurs from Spectrum Community College in Victoria, B.C. host international fund-raiser to bring water to a Zimbabwe elementary school.

/High School PR News/ - SCOTTSDALE, AZ, June 15, 2006 - Each and every day kids from the Whitewater Zimbabwe Elementary School walk a mile to and from a puddle, carrying their ladle and pail, to get their washing and drinking water. There are 500 students that rely on the water provided by a hole in a dry river bed that is only 10cm deep. This cannot go on!

There is so much we take for granted, but the entrepreneurship 11/12 class from Spectrum Community School in Victoria, B.C. is putting a stop to this by raising the funds to build a well and buy a pump so the little children of Whitewater can have filtered water whenever they need it.

100% of the money being raised is going directly to the well project!

In their fund raising efforts, they are presenting Stephanie Frank, international speaker and author of the best-selling book The Accidental Millionaire. An industry icon and a true advocate for the power of entrepreneurial success, Stephanie is passionate about helping people achieve their dreams and having freedom in their lives.

This extraordinary, interactive and high energy fundraising event will be Thursday June 22, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. at the Spectrum School Theatre, 957 Burnside Road West. Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 at the door. Door prizes, concession and a silent auction will also be part of the event. All proceeds go directly to the Whitewater Zimbabwe Project.

To purchase tickets or for more information about the event, contact Chuck Groot at (250) 727-8444 or go to: http://chuckgroot.com/onepailatatime.html. Ms. Frank will be available following the presentation for a special book signing, and is donating a portion of all book proceeds to the Project. To arrange an interview with Ms. Frank, contact Annie Jennings (908) 281-6201 or send an email to Annie@AnnieJenningsPR.com.
